The old saying goes you remember the quality long after you forget the price, and since 1990 Redmond’s have employed a permanent Quality Manager and 2 Inspectors to ensure that product leaving their complex conforms to the specifications and requirements set out in drawings supplied by our customers.
Redmond’s have continued to improve their processes and have over the years held initially ISO9002 accreditation and are currently holding ISO/TS-16949 continuing our commitment to comply with today's highest standards.
Machine tolerances and capabilities are areas continually under scrutiny in order to ensure that only products of the highest quality are produced and despatched.
Traceability is a major concern to most businesses these days, and to this end our procedures and processes will guarantee that we are fully able to support our customers in this most critical area.
" Forward planning gives us better insight into our expected output "
A dedicated computerised scheduling office keeps track of incoming orders, whether they be sent by EDI, fax, e-mail or post, all jobs in progress as well as future work are allocated to each of the 40+ production machines. An accurate history of each machine is kept, including seconds per component, downtime and tooling. Daily, every machine's production rate is monitored and the necessary adjustments made, to give an accurate measure of the planning.
Nothing is missed, material delivery, staff holidays, bar loading and even operator's lunch breaks being considered in each machines output. Quality standards dictate each machine's 'service due' period, triggering a signal for the appropriate servicing schedule to be initiated which is overseen by the Quality Manager, right through to the out-sourced metrology.
The scheduling office works in close liaison with the Sales and Marketing Manager and the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the complete satisfaction of both new and old customers.
Our Sales and Marketing team are ready to assist with new enquiries at any time and prepared to give professional advice to existing and potential customers.
